Longjohn receives an endorsement from Michigan Nurses
Portage- Today, Democratic nominee for Michigan’s 6th Congressional District, Dr. Matt Longjohn, announced that the Michigan Nurse’s Association has endorsed his campaign for Congress.
“Matt is exactly the kind of hard-working advocate nurses and our patients need in Washington. Nurses need him in Congress to fight for health care for all, a stronger voice in our workplace, and a law to limit the number of patients hospitals can assign nurses at one time. Nurses are proud to support a fellow health care professional who understands that patient safety and empowering nurses are matters of life and death”, said Jamie Brown, RN, president of the Michigan Nurses Association
Longjohn also commented on the endorsement.
“I am excited to announce that the Michigan Nurses Association has endorsed my campaign for Congress. Nurses need to be protected as critical contributors to health and health care outcomes, and their contributions need to be sustained by ensuring they can safely do their jobs. When I go to Congress I will work every day to fight for safe staffing conditions for nurses, safe patient care, and protecting collective bargaining rights for Nurses ” said Longjohn.
